Another busy old week in the world of music! Legendary multimedia artist David Lynch returns this summer with the follow-up to Crazy Clown Time, his acclaimed 2011 solo debut. THE BIG DREAM will be released July 15 in Europe on Sunday Best Recordings – the British label that signed Lynch two years ago.

PJ Harvey is to be honored by the Queen. The two-time Mercury winner be being awarded an MBE for her 20 years of service to music.

Acts have been announced for Pitchfork Festival Paris 2013, which runs from 31 October – 2 November at the Grande halle de la Villette. So far the lineup consists of: The Knife

; Deerhunter
; Warpaint; 
The Haxan Cloak and 
Junip.

Chvrches have announced that their debut LP The Bones of What You Believe will be released on 23 September.  Ahead of that release, they’ve dropped a video for upcoming single ‘Gun’, due for UK release on 15 July.

A Grave with no Name have released single ‘Dig Me Out’ from their album Whirlpool, due for release this July via Stare Record.

Kim Deal announces her departure from The Pixies after 25 years.

In a statement, the band said:

“We are sad to say that Kim Deal has decided to leave the Pixies. We are very proud to have worked with her on and off over the last 25 years. Despite her decision to move on, we will always consider her a member of the Pixies, and her place will always be here for her. We wish her all the best.”

Italian-born, New York-based Porcelain Raft has announced his new record will be released on 20 August. Check out the teaser below:
