Playlounge played for us a while ago. We're pretty excited about their Christmas track choices - we're massive George Michael fans! I have to admit, the Jimmy Eat World version is awesome though.
What were your highlights of 2012?
Sam: This year has been incredible for us. We've made the best of friends with so many great bands, got to tour the UK with Johnny Foreigner as well as Joanna Gruesome and Fantasy Rainbow and we'll be finishing 2012 with the release of our 12" Thrash Magic on Fear and Records.
Laurie: All the Reeks of Effort shows and releases, both the tours we did, the family portrait split 7”, playing with Joey Fourr.
What can we expect from you in 2013?
Sam: As long as the world doesn't end in December as the Mayans predicted we'll keep writing and keep playing and keep making friends and just having as much fun as we can.
Laurie: More shows, more songs.
Can we have a link to a Christmas track that you like please?
Sam: After fighting off the urge to send a Jimmy Eat World cover of Wham I'm going to go with 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'.
Laurie: Wham – Last Christmas.
Why this track?
Sam: I don't think I've ever heard that song during the festive period and not enjoyed it. It's too good.
Laurie: The synths.
