News Update 30/6/12 ft. Pixies, Dethscalator, Nine Inch Nails, PAWS, Bloc Party, HAIM, Gum & more

No way! A new track from the Pixies. Take that Rolling Stones! Obviously  we're extremely sad to learn Kim Deal is no longer a Pixie, but 3/4 will do nicely thanks.

Nine Inch Nails have a new video for Come Back Haunted, the lead track from their forthcoming new album and it is directed by none other than legendary film maker David Lynch. It's messed up but simultaneously stunning.

Chvrches made their US TV debut with a rendition of The Mother we Share on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Catch the performance below.

New track and video from Bloc Party. we expected something dancey and jittery. We weren't disappointed.

Our favourite favourite DIY label Art is Hard Records have announced a new EP for the excellent /please/. Have a listen.

Ducktails have unveiled a brilliant new video for their track, Under Covers. It's deliciously dreamy.

GUM have announced a European Tour with Ringo Deathstarr. Good on em!

Dethscalator very recently released their album on limited edition pink vinyl. The record entitled 'Racial Golf Course No Bitches' is now available to listen to in full on YouTube. Listen below and then buy it. It is EXCELLENT.

It's impossible to not mention Glasto this week, even though we're not there. As per usual, there are some great surprise collaborations, and Haim and Primal Scream were one of them. Enjoy.

SNH Xmas Day III - PAWS

And it's PAWS who complete our Xmas day craziness!

What were your highlights of 2012?

Pretty much everything we've done this year! Every single show. Our UK tour with Bleached to celebrate our Misled Youth EP release was such an amazing tour as we started it off with 3 shows at The Great Escape Festival. Touring Europe with Japandroids  and then having them ask us to play our biggest UK shows to date. Recording our album with Rory! Releasing our album and all the shows we played to celebrate it (Glasgow CCA and London Shacklewell Arms especially). Hearing our music on BBC Radio 1 totally out of the blue. Playing a session for the Lauren Laverne show on BBC 6 Music. The Vice stage at Beacons Festival was ridiculous too. This whole year has been totally amazing/mental. Too many things to list.

What can we expect from you in 2013?

More songs, more touring, more releases, more everything. We are going to make our first trip out to the U.S in the first part of 2013 and then tour Europe some more too.

Give us a Christmas track that you like please?

I love these two. Mostly the first one though. Second one is just for fun...

Why these tracks?

Linus and Lucy because I watch the Charlie Brown Christmas special every year. It's one of the few things I like about Christmas.

The Blink song, because, It's Blink!

Can we have a link to one of your tracks please?

New Band of the Week 19/12/11 - PAWS

Raw, scuzzy Glaswegian noisemakers, PAWS, are our new band of the week. In their short career, they have supported the likes of The Dum Dum Girls, Ariel Pink and No Age and I’m sure there are even better things to come from the melodic, lo-fi, garage pop trio.
