We found another exciting new band to emerge from the glittery, far away shores of Australia this week by the name of Cameras. Their debut album 'In Your Room' was released last October on the perpetually burgeoning indie label Speak N Spell through Interia. With their chamber echoed piano, organ and bass cresting over layered guitars and beautiful vocals; the arrangements are wonderfully crystallised. A good example of this statement can be found in tracks "June" and "In your Room", while post-punk driven tracks like "Kreuzburg' and "Defeatist" give this band the perfect contrast between wuthering and gritty.
Additional props for a great album
cover too! Cameras certainly have the potential to hold the same atmospheric
gravity of Tori Amos or The Antlers for me, so I really look forward to
following their evolution.
