This will sound familiar to any avid follower of ours. Featuring Koichi from London indie faves Screaming Tea Party, The Catcher Nine share some familiar STP traits, as well as managing to squeeze in some Beach Boys goodness as well the odd Velvet Underground esque guitar.
Vocal duties are shared by Koichi and bassist Teresa whose juxtaposition of vocal tones sit perfectly together as they double up a number of times underneath the sometimes sparse picked guitars. Whilst, there are some obvious shared traits with STP, The Catcher Nine are a completely different prospect, somewhat gentler and more focussed on vocal melody in their approach.
